Anyone else love gadgets

I found the electronic toys in the hardware store. Just something else for me to spend my money on. The other day I bought an infared thermometer when I went in there for a pair of long nose vise grips and some duct tape . Today I went in for a big level and to price circular saws, I came out with a big level, a tool box, and a sonic tape measure . It's pretty cool though, just don't use it near the cat, the combination of the laser and the sound made him go nuts . I bought the cheap one, I might have to get the one that can measure up to 100" when I have $100 to spend.

I also really love gadgets. They're fun to look at and think about whether it'll actually be useful or not. Also, most "gadgets" tend to be inexpensive and great for impulse buys and/or giveaways.

Knives, flashlights, multitools, knives, anything really. Now if only I could get my girlfriend from having such things to carrying and using them...

rofl I love gadgets, every once in a while I have to go through my EDC and pack and force myself to take out non-essentials...otherwise I wouldn't be able to move for all the weight.

...Somehow the gadgets just keep multiplying...I think they breed.

I am a gadget freak! When I was a teenager, I kept SAK catalogues under my bed instead of Playboy! I have so many different tools that I often cannot decide which ones to keep in my emergency pack. I am all the time changing them out, so hopefully I will have the best setup if the zombies come.

I just bought a butane pocket 'torch.' Size just a bit larger than a Bic lighter. Just in case I ever want to do some silver soldering while walking around the neighborhood...
