I am not hunting for the auction to see if it is live. If it is, wait until it closes and repost the question with a real link.

Real information on the items in question would be nice. The models, by name or number. A full description, not "CC". What exactly you wonder if anyone else noticed. In other words, ask a real question, don't play guessing games.

It was for the Knifeworks M390 Military, they are claiming they have ones with serial numbers

The only numbers are the 200 pieces reserved for the collectors club members. There are a lot of ebay sellers that represent those knives as "ultra rare limited edition", when they should be described as collectors club numbered models. It just seems like intentional misrepresentation of the item.

It's possible someone had a "serial number" engraved aftermarket but it's more likely that it's a Collectors Club number. If that's the case, then the number will be a three digit number between 001 and 200 and should have a V suffix.

Knifeworks posts on the item description (same for both the m390 and M4 military sprints) that the knives will not be numbered, so as Deacon said, it is most likely A CC#. I have seen people , from time to time, list CC# knives as serial numbered.
