..........that S30V doesn't seem to take as "high" a finish as the BG42? Not complaining here just observing! The BG42 sebbie has a mirror finish and both of my S30V blades have more of a satin finish. I had heard that this steel (S30V) would not finish as well as some others. Of course it is purely a cosmetic thing as the S30V is cutting up a storm on everything I have cut on!

Guess this is just a challenge for me and my "Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish"

im waiting for a polished s30v. i'll compare it with my ats34 sebbie,which is well used and scratched. i dont care for the stone washed finish. the knife does not have to be to shiny. anywhere between satin and polished is fine for me.
