Has anyone else noticed the small flood of 2 and 3 dot 110's to hit the auction site lately? There's been several new in the box deals too. Maybe it's just me and I hadn't noticed before, but they seem to be popping up all over.

Did Buck start making them again?

I always see alot of 2 dots in various conditions but I notice the 3 dots come and go. That seller of the 3 dots that claims they are cleaning out grampas garage must have a ton of them, all NIB.

The same seller has listed 3 or 4 n.i.b 307's, and 301's too. Grampa must have been hording them :D

Don't you wish we could find out who grandpa was?

He sure salted away a lot of fine and untouched Buck knives in the box.

They just keep coming. I know they're for real. There's no way to fake verdigris.

:D

I believe someone told me that the grandpa owned a store that sold knives to
soldiers/sailors coming into the port.

By the looks of it, he kept all the stuff for himself :D The store was probably just a front to keep the wife happy

I bought one those NIB 3dots. Its is what it says NIB 3dot. All original packaging etc. Worth it if you wanna spend that much for them.

The one I got wasnt bad at all. Just needed a lite polish and all is well.

No polish needed here.

The pictures that he started off with long ago show the heavy edge fleabites that have to be polished out. No big deal, but they're certainly there. He's never changed the pics that I know of.

I think I bought the third one he listed. That was over a year ago.

I've had about six of them. All stored in the sheath and positioned exactly the same way in the sheath and probably stored the same length of time.

So.......they were all almost identical in amount and placement of verdigris. It did leave some little scars on the brass and I still work some of those knives into my polishing schedule as the scars get smaller and smaller.

I did send one out to be spiffed up, but it wasn't really worth the trouble. I have time.

And I enjoy shining brass.

And I'm glad I had the chance to get the ones I got......the grandpa had an excellent stash!!

:D
