Scott, I am not a Buck collector, & a thousand dollars does seem high, but there are 17 knives in the set, which puts it around $59.00 per knife. Is that a good price for these type knives? Plus I am "assuming" the display case goes with it. Maybe the buyer was looking at the overall knives & what they would be if bought individually. Maybe someone who knows these models of Buck could post if this is a good buy or not. Thanks for letting us know.

What knives are missing in that display box ? One looks to be the 507 Ultima . Whats the other ? Perhaps 2dot era knives . Could it be the 315 Yachtsman ?
Some of those knives are worth more than 60$ many about half, unless the boxes and paperwork are inside the display . But it could still be worth it as they can be procured in one package . DM

Well, there are 2 301s, and no 319 Rancher. If they all have boxes, with paperwork, and are from the same production year....I'd still have to think long & hard about that deal.

I picked it up at $255 and watched it until I got the email reminder and it was 768 or something-I would have been out of the game at $300-350. Even that is way over budget...way way way over. When I saw 1000+ i was glad I didnt get too excited in the 1st place.
