The carbon fiber scaled, s30v skyline that blade hq has listed as comming soon? As well as a ton of other cool KAI blades there as well. Think I also saw a carbon fiber 0350 with m390. Hopefully these will be out down the road. I don't mind waiting, but those two will definately be on my hit list.

I know KAI will be releasing a lot of existing models in different finishes and handle scales (0350CF, 0566BWCF, etc.), so I wouldn't be surprised if that Skyline is the real deal.

The only thing is that BHQ has had other models listed that I never saw come out, like a serrated 0560 that used to be up.

A serrated 0560, thank goodness that was never made. Sorry, but whenever I'm on the hunt for an older knife (with a standard blade), the only models I can find are the serrated blades. Whats next a lefty model ;)

I curious about the CF handled Kershaw skyline. How hard is carbon fiber compared to G10? Is is softer, harder, about the same? Because since skylines only have one liner this does matter a bit.

Carbon fiber is very tough stuff. It's light too. I've had some carbon fiber that was polished that seemed to take on fine scratches pretty easy, but it would not gouge or ding easy. I have never really compared it directly with g10, but I know it's durable too. I think it would probably be a toss up. I'd just go with the one you like the looks of. They would both be plenty durable.

That's good to know, I assumed they wouldn't make it if it wouldn't work, but I don't have any experience.

Yeah, don't worry man. Carbon fiber is plenty tough. If you like the looks, go for it!
