I love Spyderco knives, but my collection is pretty limited. I think that this is because even though I love the quality, not all of the designs are necessarily for me. I have a Native, 2 Dflys, a PM2 and a Slysz Bowie and love them all dearly (oh, and a Temp 2 that I also love). I like blades that have a slimmer profile and that don't have a huge hump to accommodate the spydie hole.

I've been looking for a long time for a knife that has a really slim profile because I don't really have something like that in my collection. I'd looked at the Benchmade 530 and 531 to fill this niche, but looking at the Pattada I think it might be the perfect solution. I love the profile, love the blade shape, and think that overall it looks like a really handsome and refined option. Also, I really like liner locks so that's a plus too! Oh, and I'm Italian so...you know.

Anyone have any more info on the knife, or is anyone else just as psyched as I am?

The Pattada jumped out at me as well, looking at it in a Spyderco catalog. I saw that 3D machined G10, and.....it's so beautiful!!

I don't have any experience with the knife, but I'd like to. lol

Im cooling down on my knife collection lately, but that is one im keeping money set aside for. Its a nice looking knife design in general. I like most of spydercos ethnic series knives.

I think it's really nice that pattadas are becoming mainstream and getting some modern factory interpretations. I can imagine this Spyerco version being highly practical.

My viper keeper is one of my most complimented knives when non knife people see my collection. I think alot of people in general are attracted to italian designs.

I'm very excited about this one! Can't wait to send it to Steve (Sketchen Scales) for some dressing up.
