What are you trying to say Mickey?

I traded my SIFU for an Emerson Commander! The finger grooves didn't fit my hands at all. I couldn't find a way to carry it that worked out for me. AND, now that I've handled one, anything larger than the Commander will be a FIXED BLADE

I liked them so well that I got 2. No problems at all with either of them. They ride in my pocket very well. I can`t tell the defference when it`s in my right front pocket than if I were carrying my BM axix lock or my BM pinnacle. Of course this is with blue jeans on. The lockup is unbelievably tight, feels like you`ve got a fixed blade in your hand. The finger grooves work great for me also. I like the extra one so I can back my hand up a notch and get further reach. Here in N. C. I was told that 5 1/2 inches was the longest blade that you can carry concealed, so it fills the bill perfectly for me. The blade info was given to me by the LEO who was teaching my concealed weapon class. Overall I`m very impressed with this knife.

WHOA! Maybe I confused someone! I meant that I think My Sifu is Bad-ass! Just wanted to see who else thought so, definitely love this knife!

Could the finger grooves (at least some of them) be reduced without compromising the functioning of the knife?

I haven't had the chance to handle one of those yet, so maybe it wouldn't be necessary; but I realize not all hands have the same size and shape, so...

I just gotta say one thing to you Sifu owners: who are you trying to kill! 12" overall, 5.4" blade, thats what i call a haus'. I mean, that knife is not for utility! Da*n! That thing is huge. I just had to say that. Can you say d*mn here? I guess i shouldnt.

I could not resist buying the thing! It is simply too damned politically incorrect!

Pardon my ignorance, but I am unfamiliar with this particular knife.is there a link where I could see a picture of one? Thanks.

Hugh, do you mean that it is politically incorrect to build dams. Or that you could cut several dams in half without resharpening that montrous tool of yours? That's what it's for anyway, right?

I loved seeing your SIFU. Kind of made me tingle just to hold the thing. I thought, man, what is the point of this thing? But then I realized, there it was, in my hand. And my hand said, mmm mmm good.

All knives are tools. Some tools are weapons. Some weapons are toys. Men and Boys like Toys.

The Sifu is the absolute best production fighting folder made today, in my opinion. The fingergrooves fit me just fine.

It's really for the California market. Our gun permit system is a hideous joke, and we can open-carry fixed-blades but local restrictions abound. The main "bright spot" in our weapons laws is the ability to carry (concealed OR open) any size non-switchblade folder. If it's concealed, it has to be folded while concealed. Balisongs are banned, but thumbstuds/holes/disks are specifically LEGAL.

In deference to Texas's 5.5" blade length limit, the Sifu comes in at 5.45". It's far higher in quality than the Cold Steel Vaquero Grande, the previous "California Special Anti-Mugger Monstrosity" king.

Camillus is threatening to "top" the Sifu, possibly in the blade length department. 7" has been kicked around. They're delayed by the patent process on a new lock; REKAT was fortunate enough to have a lockwork laying around that can support a megafolder without problems.

Come on, Camillus, join the party!
