I'm having the same problem. I can't change my email address to my current address either. Blocked from the marketplace, ....... Thanks for any help.

Go to Settings > My Settings (left side) > My Account > General Settings
Messaging & Notification -- go through all the email and PM settings, including Default Thread Subscription Mode.
