Anyone else want a Benchmade Multitool?

I know they have the cheap HK and maybe something else I'm overlooking, but I'd love to see a high end product that rivals LM and SOG. Something trad, but features a rediculous blade (or blades) maybe in m390 or something else nutty.

I've seen how LM tools are made, and I'm not sure that BKC has the ability to produce something of the nature, but if it was awesome and US made I'd buy one!

Hey Rhino, you guys ever discus the possibility, or is this outside the ideology behind Benchmade product planning maybe?

I'd be down for a BM multi tool, I don't think it would be beyond their capacity to make them, it would require re-tooling, but most new models require some tooling changes anyway

Aside from the tooling, there would be marketing and support costs (warranty, life sharp, NSN issue) and much more. No doubt, this would be an expensive endeavor to build such a tool to BM's high standards. But, if they did, I'd get 2.:)

This has come up before in the past, and the idea sorta fizzed out due to most folks feeling that the multi-tools on the market currently fill the void. I disagree, wanting sometime higher end that carries more like a pocket-clipped folder than a bulky and heavy multi-tool.

I think it would be great if BM would develop something similar to the triage but with a bit driver and a reversible Philliips/slotted bit and perhaps some torx sizes. Multiple blades riding the same Axis mech on both ends of the knife would be the way I'd do it. The bit driver, a main blade in premium steel with thumbstud, a wood saw blade, and perhaps even a smaller sheepsfoot serrated blade on opposite ends of the folder. An Axis-locking Victorinox Tinker of sorts.

BM could really knock it out of the park with something like this IMO.

I think a benchmade tool would be awesome. They could have a small lineup of them. They already have the triage and the Houdini tool. Why not a multi-plier with premium materials and something like professors doodle? Something to rival the skeletool would be neat too :)

Maybe they could have specialty ones. One with blade and tools made from their watersafe steel (n680?) lineup comes to mind

not only a multi tool, but I would also like them to make us a cigar cutter, not just a proto, and a kick ass pair of shears

I would also like to see a cheese knife set, seriously, I would. and a block for them, I'm still a little pissed they didn't release a block for the prestige steak and kitchen knives

I would definitely buy a BM multitool if it was compact and full featured. Cigar cutter sounds awesome too! The Mark Lee Glory Knife only works for large torpedos.

I like my USA-made Surefires and Benchmades. If they ever made a multi-tool I would want it made here too.

I think LM has made tools with s30v blades, I think a slim well fit tool featuring quality scissors, m4 blade, 1/4 socket and awl would be perfect... Maybe with a slim axis lock for the tools and blade like someone else suggested.

My preference is easy to take apart and clean, it would add cost, but we all buy expensive tools/blades anyhow, why not have a smooth/sleek tool that's designed for use. A quality sheath for it would be great too.
