Thinking of going on a ski trip to banff .. any one ever been there??

I was there when I was 9. I don't remember anything. I reckon it has changed somewhat since then. At least I'd hope so.

Been there about a hundred times. Banff has some great skiing and so does Lake Louise (real close to Banff). You should enjoy yourself a lot.

I don't ski, so I can't tell you anything about that aspect of it, but it (and nearby Canmore) is very beautiful. I took the gondola ride to the top of Sulfur (or is it Sulphur here?) Mountain with my wife, and the view from the top is incredible. I hear that the geothermal springs are great, and I can really see the attraction to going there on days like today (we're getting the first snow of the season today :grumpy: )

I have, Not during ski season though, The scenery is magnificent! It was expensive though. Hotels and food probably cost a lot more during ski season.

Been there during the late summer. Wonderful people, beautiful mountains. You'll love it. We did the camping thing around the parks in the area, but did get quite a bit of hiking in and spent a couple of hours gaping at Lake Louise.
