Ive done it several times....
I etch the blade first either using the ferric cloride mix,or naval jelly(the blade is buffed first to mirror finish, then degressed) After etching I neutralize in soda water. then i use long continious strokes with 1500 wet and dry sand paper with a pink eraser block. Then the bluing which I do a few times apply bluing let dry litely polish between coats of bluing with the rubber sanding block. Last coat I let sit on for 20 minutes spay the blade with wd40 and sand the blade with the block long non stop strocks, lite pressure. Wipe the blade with a towel now and then. When your happy stop. Wipe the blade down with wd40 or lite machine oil, and let the blade sit over night with a oily reidue, this locks the blueing and prevents a brown haze from forming. No photos sorry, dont have a digital camera. good luck hope this helps. ps the bluing I use is birchwoods super blue,as per instructions on bottle.
