Anyone ever buy the blade back issue cd's?

Was looking at blade magazine back issues and they have some on cd's and 10 years 97-07 for $40, not bad but some cd's can be hard to navigate and use. Anyone on the forum use these?

Yeah, I have it/them. 97-07 is on one disc, 08 on another. They are DVDs not CDs, so you will need a DVD player on your PC. If you're familiar with basic file/directory structure it's relatively easy to navigate.

You can actually get it for less than half that price.

Pretty handy reference.

I was surprised you could not slip it into your DVD player and watch it on the TV.
But, it's basically just a bunch of pdf files. One file per month, organized by Year folder/directory.
There is no "front end"....that is, no user interface, you access it by hunting for the month you want and opening it with Acrobat Reader, or whatever pdf viewer you use.
There is also no search across multiple issues, which would have made it really handy. You can search the indivdual file/issue once its open in Acrobat Reader.

Not sure if that would be considered "deal spotting" by the mods.
