I'm really beginning to like (maybe love) my Sebenza 25. One of the only things that bothers me, and it bothers me a lot, is that they did away with the lanyard pin from the 21.

So I'm wondering... How hard would it be to drill (and chamfer) a hole for the pin from a 21? I think it could fit by the standoff...

As a maker of 6AL4V titanium body jewelry I have drilled Ti. Use Cobalt steel bits and low speeds with a drill press or with the items mounted in a lathe or vertical mill. Titanium is a poor heat conductor so the low speeds, and lubrication, help to keep bit temperatures down which greatly increases bit life. Too fast rotation will fry bits.

I personally would NOT try drilling Ti using a hand held power drill.

Thanks for the reply, and advice. I did some drilling today (not on the Sebbie) and I think I'm going to hold off for a bit. Not too pleased with my experience, but that's a whole different story. :(

You know, it just occurred to me that the handle on the 25 is wider than on the other knives. I'd have to have a custom lanyard bar cut and anodized.

Well this idea is a total bust. :(
