Saw them on the web special page and figured it might be fun to to a basic rehandle on one.
I'm a lefty so I'll need to make a sheath for it, and a modern ish looking nylon handle doesn't exactly go with leather now does it ;)

I wanna know what the tang looks like and if I can expect a fun afternoon project or a headache before I go cutting the handle off it.

not sure. I'd assume it's a stick or partial. it may be fuller like the 650/655, but Jeff would know. I'd say use it as is, can always do later.

Thanks for the pictures.

Oh and I actually happened to see a picture of a rehandle recently done by a member posted in the buck picture thread.
I asked them how it went with no response yet but based on the handle they came up with I think It shouldn't be too hard for me to do.
It probably won't look spectacular but hopefully it doesn't look too bad at least.

I know I'm definitely going with a fairly basic rudimentary handle shape for sure.

The handles will have a pocket in them to fit around the tang. The tang will be smaller than the handle width and also have some holes in it for the rivets to go through. Likely to be glued on also..
