If yes, how long was your wait to get your knife back? Anyone know the determining factors for repair time? Sent my knife (an HR) back to Wauseon about a month ago for some handle repair.

Not too worried about it, it's just that I'll be leaving the country for a year at the end of this month and damned if it wouldn't be good to see the ol' girl before I leave. Just wondering if anyone has any insight. Thanks.

give them a call and explain your situation. im sure they can work something out with you.

otherwise, i have heard it takes about.........two weeks.

Call the shop first thing Monday and ask is your best bet Robb. They'll be able to tell you how it is going. I think repairs all depend on workload at the time. If you sen tit in when they were in the middle of a big govt order or Skunks personal customs then you may have to wait until next year. :D

Yeah...I kinda figured repairs would be a bit low on the shop-priority list. Well, if nothing else...at least I'll have a CGFBM, FBMLE, and a rejuvenated HR waiting for me when I get back...:)

i would suggest not letting them just sit around waiting for your return. contact me regarding a knife-sitting.:D

I would think repairs would be at the top of the list. If one of their knives failed I would think they would want to repair it right away and get it back to the customer.

I've sent in two knives to be refinished and new handles put of them and got
them back somewhere around 6o days +-. I think that is very reasonable
considering how busy those guys are. They go out of their way to
make us Hogs happy.

I remember that Peter La send his SFNO in to put magnum scales on it. If I remember correctly he said that it took 19 days . . .

I have emailed Garth a few times and caught him when he was sober (or he lied to me) ;)

I was looking to get a blade recoated. One factor that came into play was whether or not they had a show comming up.

(Plus you can always bribe them with a favorite bottle of something nice).

WHO SAID THAT?

Now don't think for second ((Johnny Walker Blue)) that sending booze to the shop ((Pig's Nose)) will have any affect on the turn-around time ((Cabo Wabo)) of your repair. . . .

The thought is ((Talisker)) ridiculous. . . .

This subliminal message has been brought to you by my liver. . . . .

I wish I could get new scales for my NO-E but shipping it back and forth from Europe just makes no sence due to cost involved.
Really sad that Busse does not sell the scales separately. :(

I just sent a message to the customer service line to have a knife re-coated and repaired. I was told to ship after the first of the year due to large Military orders that the Busse shop is currently working. Hope this helps anyone that was thinking of sending a knife in!

That's okay. They don't have the pattern for those anymore. Someone lost the CNC program for the Ergo shape.

LOL. I am glad that you guys can not be bribed, corrupted, or otherwise bought off. True role models for all us Piglets.

(Note to self: Pig's Nose, Talisker, Johnny Walker Blue, Cabo Wabo...Got it)
