If memory serves someone was selling them at the ECCKS when I was there. I love money clips however my biggest gripe I've found is at some point they eventually stretch out and unless you always keep a fat wad on you they become a PITA. I know they make magnetic ones but I hate them, why can't someone engineer a decent spring loaded money clip that doesn't deform?

fletch i have some spring loaded ones i kinda collect them, yeah most do tend to stretch out after a while

Given the fact that I make damascus and I occasionally have an extra piece laying around that I want to do something interesting with it, I have thought about that exact problem. The other issues I have is that I would like to make it one piece and cleaning up the inside after heat treat is a serious problem.

Guys
i only have to ask why not use Titanium for your money clip ??
i made one several years ago and love it ..no spring wear problem.
i'm thinking i need to make a new one soon ,much smaller hold range .
like many i thought when i made the first one it would always be full so i made it a little too thick in the grip range . Damn wife/kids keep ya with a clip that only hold's $10 and change (He He) Del make one out of stainless Damascus bandsaw a slot into it,machine out for the thickness then heat treat ,yes the clean up on the inside will be a bitch but i have faith in you you can handle that .

I have made a few. Last year I made 5 for my Brother-in-law to give as groomsman gifts. I used Titanium for the back and they were screwed together. They were anywhere from 1-3/4 - 2in long and 5/8-3/4in wide. Here are shots of one.

Chuck wasn't it you who made the damascus cuff links? If it was they were great  and I'm surprised more people haven't something like that with their small pieces of damascus.

Thanks chuck for taking the time to make me the money clip, doesnt get any better buddy
