Anyone ever polished the lockbar on an inlay?

I wear my large spalted beech 21 in a CRK sheath with a clip insert and the lockbar is looking pretty rough. Not that I mind too much but this is more or less my dress up carry knife. I was thinking of using my ultra fine sharpmaker rod to polish it down... any experienced pros or cons? If not I'll be posting a picture of either the good or the bad later tonight...

Scotch-Brite pads would be my recommendation. You can get a brushed or polished look depending on how much time you spend and how fine you go.

Don't see what you want to do any different than someone doing a scotchbrite finish.
To really polish it, after you take the bead blast finish off with the ceramic rod, use some Flitz and elbow grease to clean it up.
