I saw some today, and met the man himself. It was one of the highlights of the Conn. show for me today.

His work is by FAR the best I've ever seen in a custom Balisong. Holy smokes, it was FINE!!! Expensive as hell, but like nothing I've ever seen.

I wish he had a Website where you guys could see pics of his work, I know you'd all agree.

yeah Clay....just what is "expensive"? Especially since, like you, I like to USE everything I have

I have seen his work and handled his balis. The two I looked at were on his table at that NCCA show two years ago. I think one of them was $1700. Like you said, expensive!
I was at the show this year on Sunday the 18 th. I didn't see any balis on his table though.
On a different note, Clay did you pass on the PROTOTYPE BM 42, 20 of 50 on Gary's table from CUBETA'S or did you miss it? I am just curious as to why if you did pass on it because I did not. I missed it on my first two passes through the show myself.

KNIFE THROWER,

I saw it the first time around but I'm not really a collector so, considering I already have two model 42's, the piece just didn't interest me at all.

I really should start buying these things when I see 'em though (Balis in general). People are always asking me for knives that I've seen at shows, so I guess I could turn right around and sell them off, or maybe put them on the auctions. Let some of the fellow forumites benefit........ ya' know??

As for the Jarvis Balis, there was one on the table to the left of his in a glass case. It wasn't one of his fanciest, but it was beautiful none the less (AND heavy).

Clay, I had two of my children with me, it being Father's Day and all, and they can be distracting. I must have missed Paul's Bali. His work is beautiful but way too expensive for my budget. I like to carry and use my knives and I don't ever see my self carrying a knife that expensive.
As for the 42, I just wanted to be sure that you had not passed on it because there was something not right with it.

Is Mr. Jarvis the African American gentleman with the navy cap? If so I think I have seen his works and flipped them (with two hands ofcourse).. I will reserve my comments but I think it is too 'fancy' for me. But it woudl look good on Conan if he ever needed Crom's Bali
