Anyone ever taken a Native apart?

I have a Native that has a little bit of side to side wobble. I wanted to tighten it up, but then wondered how difficult it would be to take it apart. The reason would be to try and etch the satin blade. It would be my first attempt at doing an acid wash. It is just a thought right now as I don't know if once it is taken apart it can be put back together. Just looking for a little help with the idea. Thanks!

I have disassembled a Native 5 and it wasn't too hard to get back together. The only advice I'll offer, and you may already know this, is to put a couple of layers of painters tape over the edge of the blade so you don't slice your hands up trying to get it back together.

EDIT: and keep this bit of wisdom in mind:

The warranty doesn't [cover] curiosity induced disaster.

Depends in which native. If its a native 5 it has full screw construction and disassembly is the same as any other lock back. If its a pinned knife, you wont be able to take it apart.

Please don't take offense but, while there are people out there who can remove and replace a riveted pivot, the fact that you're asking makes me tend to think that, like me, you are not one of them.

No offense taken. :) Just wondered if it was easy or not. It was an idea I was kicking around. Some things are best left alone and this is probably one of them. Thanks guys!

I have an older pinned Native FRN that I was able to tighten up by using a ball peen hammer and the flat of an anvil. Just beware that you cannot loosen this type of knife (without drilling out the rivets and replacing them). Mine was too loose, now it's too tight, so if you try this I recommend a couple light taps and then checking progress. Hope that helps...

Thank you. I was able to tighten it yesterday with a hammer and a 2x4. It came out pretty good, and no I didn't take it apart the way I had thought about. I would hit it and check it, and hit it, and so forth. Made more little dimple holes in the wood then anything, but eventually it tightned up the blade. Thanks to all who responded to my post.
