This is basically a legal balisong, since it requires two hands to open. How does its edge hold up, etc.?

Well, it's not a balisong at all, really. It doesn't open with centrifugal force. It's just styled like a balisong. In my opinion, it's not the best choice to carry somewhere where balisongs are illegal. It's just inviting unwanted attention.

yea that

I have a Black Rock Hunter, which is similar in construction.

Keeping in mind that tactical folders are not my thing at all, I love this knife and will be getting a paradox. The hollow grinds are high and thin and the knife slices like a dream. The steel is on the softer side of things but that makes sharpening a breeze.

There is NO chance of someone thinking this is a butterfly knife if they touch it. It absolutely takes two hands to open and close.
