Anyone ever tried Hoodia or Myoffeine?

I've been doing some online research on diet meds and everything I've read so far said these two were the best out there. The thing I like about Hoodia is that works on the hypothalamus which is the control center for the body, especially for me since my pituitary was removed 29 years ago. :D If anyone has any experience with either of these products please let me know, the good and the bad!!
Here's some info about the two I found online:
3. Hoodia Gordonii is quickly becoming the #1 selling weight loss phenomonon in the United States. There is a lot of hype surrounding Hoodia Gordonii Cactus extract. What gives Hoodia its appetite supressing effects is a compound called P57. P57 affects the hypothalmus (the area of the brain that controls appetite) in the same way glucose triggers a"full" feeling after eating a meal. The difference is that P57's trigger is 10,000 x's more powerful than glucose. Pure Hoodia GP57 retails around $100 per bottle. Hoodia GP57 retails for $80.00.

4. Myoffeine is the only formula on our list that is designed specifically for men. Its a "Hardcore" diet pill and Testosterone Booster in 1 product. Myoffeine contains a large dose of Caffeine Anhydrous USP which you can definately feel along with Ephedra's "chemical cousin" Synephrine. Those are the two major weight loss ingredients in the formula. It also contains several Testosterone Boosting ingredients like Tribulus Terrestris and muscle builders like L-Glutamine and L-Arginine. Myoffeine is actually one of the more powerful diet pills we've reviewed but due to safety issues and steroid like products getting a lot of negative press lately its overall rating has dropped significantly. Myoffeine users get very lean fast and build rock hard muscles simultaneously. . A 30 day supply retails for $100.00.

Maybe they finally came up with something that really does help us lose weight! :p

Myoffeine is a complete rip off.

If diet and exercise aren't helping, tell your doc you have Adult ADD and insist he write you a scrip for Adderral. It is an amphetamine cocktail. You will lose weight (or blow a heart valve).

How long did you try myoffeine, TS?
Were there some bad side effects or did it just do nothing for you?

i'm a fat guy and i've heard about a lot of these so-called diet aides and miracle pills but the bottom line is mentioned above
eat less but balanced
exercise,exercise,exercise
bottom line you've got to burn up more than you take in.
good luck, ahgar {president of the fat/bald club for men}

I never tried Myoffeine, but according to your first post it is a mix of anhydrous caffeine (BAD hangovers!), over-the-counter antihistamines (available at Wal*Mart for $3 a box), and two common (and inexpensive) amino acid suppliments. If you bought the ingredients separately, the $100 you'd spend on a "month's supply" of Myoffeine would buy you 6 months worth of assorted pills.

If you want a mild herbal stimulant, obtain some Ma Huang -- it's the same plant used in the production of ephedrine, but with fewer side effects.

i have tried hoodia GP57 and it works...I lost 17 LBS in 2 weeks

You joined a knife forum the very day of your first post and it was about a non FDA regulated "weight-loss" pill and it just happened to work great for you.

Do you work on a tuna boat?

Side effects of Hoodia include nausea, sweating, and being a complete douche bag.

But seriously, the FDA does not regulate supplements, and they never know something is dangerous until someone dies. Google "ephedra" and read about that cluster-f. The weight loss will mean more if you earn it. Good luck.

Stay away from any weight loss stimulant drug...especially the crap they sell over the counter. I don't recommend the stimulant prescription drugs either, except for special cases.

There is no magic pill for weight loss.

If you think you are smarter than the FDA, feel free to expose yourself to the garbage you can buy on the net or over-the-counter.
It isn't regulated by the FDA, you are taking your health into your own hands.

Ma-huang will blow your heart too Tyr, it should be hard to purchase these days, the FDA frowns on it as the risks are not worth the benefits.

Edited to add; but if you do like buying that stuff, I have a great product for you. It is called Wondercum! PM me for more details***

***not a real add, well it is a spam I read once, but I doubt it is worth anything

I think they fall into the category of: "If it sounds too good to be true.... "

Another first post on a knife forum about a diet pill that just so happens to work great.

And, with a link this time.

Very interesting.

if you want weight loss and to clean your system at the same time go to Dr. Natura and try out the colonix program and toxinout program - works miracles.

Here's my story:

I exercise daily. I don't drive, I ride a bike. 3 years ago, I weight about 155-160. I started to put on a little extra poundage, then I broke my wrist. For 2 months, I didn't ride, I just sat around getting "fat". I put "fat" in quotes, because I'm by no means obese; in fact, I'm quite skinny, always have been, but I grew a gut. I got up to around 175 before I started riding again, but I still put on a few more pounds after that, because I developed some bad habits. One in particular, which is eating right before going to bed. I haven't really changed the amount I eat since I hit my teenage growth spurt. But eating right before bed slows your metabolism down.

So between this and that, I was about 185 for many. I tried hoodia (the cheaper stuff they sell at Walmart), and I lost weight. But I don't know if if was the hoodia. It very well could have been placebo. I ate less, and drank less soda (water instead, I can't stand diet soda). I got down to about 178-180. I ran out of the hoodia, never bothered buying any more, and stayed at that weight.

Then this past January, I fell of my bike (backwards, the bolt that clamps the seat to the seatpost sheared) and badly sprained both wrists. Another month of inactivity and a return to bad habits, and I was nudging 190.

6 months later, I'm down to 170. After my injury, I was transferred to a different store, in the University, where I had to get a new ID. I still have that ID because it's a great (awful) "before" picture. My AZ ID is about 4 years old, so I have a "way before" picture too (the goal). And I'm still dropping weight.

My secret? Well, it wasn't hoodia. I don't eat less either, and I drink just as much soda as I always have. But I avoid eating late at night and I ride longer and faster. I'm sure I could eat less, drink less soda, and exercise more, but I really don't feel like it.

The point is, weight loss is all about changing your metabolism. And that can't be done with just a pill, and if it can, it'll only last as long as you're taking them (which costs too damn much). Can a pill help that change? Can it speed it up? I don't know. I'm sure for some people it can, whether it's placebo or genuine. But changing your eating habits and exercising more is the key. Radical diets are a bad idea too. Maybe Atkins can drop weight faster than anything else, but it's unhealthy. The initial drop is unhealthy, and continuation is even more unhealthy. And like any radical diet, once you stop, you'll gain the weight right back. That's why they call it yo-yo dieting. I could yo down, and probably prevent the return yo, but I'd feel like crap. That's why I'm only yoooooooooooooooooooooing, without the return yo.

Come on now.

If any of this hyped stuff was actually helpful the legitimate news sources would be all over it. Not to mention the stock market.
