I've been using Tuf-Cloth and Tuf-Glide but some of my non stainless knives still get rust spots on them which I have to buff off with 0000 steel wool.

Happened most recently with a Queen D2 toothpick.

Anyone have any experience with the RustFree?

Thanks,

I use it,on any blades I may store for a while,that are not all stainless,like carbon steel,or D-2.I never had a blade pit,or rust,and where I am,it is close to the coast.Very humid,and salt water all around.I think it is a great product,IMO.

yes, great stuff i agree with everthing VCM3 said except it's about 78 degress here today but still on the coast with lots a salt in the air.

Thanks for the replies; I think I'll order a bottle & check it out. Just don't want it to make the blade slippery with "silicone" feel. But that may be the price to pay; will find out.

No,it kind of dries,like a clear film,no oily residue.

I use it and have for years, never a problem.
Great stuff and I highly recommend it,a little goes a long way.

Do you guys recommend it for kitchen knives?
ie. traditional japanese chef knives like the masahiro carbon steel deba.. usuba.. yanigaba?
These knives will rust quite readily if not dried thoroughly and its abit of a pain at times.

Im worried about residue that might not taste that good or maybe toxic.. especially to babies.
