All,

This topic may have been posted prior, please forgive me if it has. I am not promoting this brand in any way it is just an example of many..

I consider myself to be an Avid/Advanced Mountain bike rider. With that, the sport requires the chain ring consistent shifting as well as predicable shifts otherwise one may find themselves in trouble. Back to the point of this thread. To lubricate the chain ring and similar components I have used dry lube for many years. It provides the lubrication required for tough shifting without the expense of gathering the trail dust and other sorts of media to "Derail ones ride" if you know what I mean. Standard lubrication just doesn't do well with gathering dirt and ultimately becoming a problem.

I have tried Dry Wax on many of my knives with Insane Success, especially high end knives with ball bearing construction. You would be surprised how well this works. A couple of drops goes on wet and drys so that it does not inherit what we do not want in our pivots.......

I haven't used it on any of my knives, yet. But I am a road rider and I use dry lube, not the same brand as you, on my chains. I love that stuff works great. When the time comes to clean my domino I think I will give it a dab of dry lube. Thank you sir!

I've used DuPont Teflon dry lube. It's almost all Teflon with a bit of resin bonding agents as a binder. The app is metal on metal in sliding conditions, or as used on cutting blades (table saws and whatnot), and apparently for knife pivots. :)

Thanks for mentioning the Squirt lube, I'd never heard of it.
