Anyone ever try to take the dlc off a 0200?

Tried sand blasting a ZT0300.... no luck there.... I'd say you should probably give up..... don't mean to be defeatist, but, it is some wicked tough stuff.

Working the sander now, alternating between medium and fine grit, anyone know how to pop off the thumb stub?

If I'm not mistaken, the thumbstuds are mechanically pressed into to holes in the blade. Gonna be tough to remove.

That DLC is some tough stuff! I was able to remove it using the little sanding drums and a dremel tool. But I only took it off of the blade spine and liners. I would not use the drum sander on the blade due to the wrinkles it makes. I had to use some 60 grit paper, followed by progressively finer grits to get the wrinkles out and get the shine I wanted. If it hadn't had the wrinkles, I could have started at a higher grit paper.
