Anyone ever used this style cord wrap?

I just finished cord wrapping a DFK Tanto with this style wrap. I don't recall seeing it anywhere before, I just worked out the details in my head and tried it. I worked as a rigger for years and have done lots of fancy work on tillers and wheels and such, but don't know if this wrap is something new or not.

It is one continuous piece of 550 cord, started in the thong hole, doubled up towards the tip then passed over the edges in opposite directions, looping under the standing run along the tang. Once the handle is filled I go back and progressively draw down with a marlin spike to keep the loops centered.

Haven't ever seen this particular weave, but despite that, it looks great, and comfortable. Good Job! The ridge looks like it will add some gripping power to the blade.

I've seen this used on tantos, having a ray-skin underlay, but with the center fibers removed from the paracord to make a flatter pattern lying closer to the handle.

Thanx Stitch, if you have a pic that would be cool to see.
