I found this site awhile ago, and I have been impressed with the very reasonable pricing. When I saw the XL bowie, I thought it was gorgeous (the blade profile is more appeaking toi me than any of the Randall bowies). Right now I am considering having one made (walnut brul, sub hilt, file work on spine an tang), and am discussing options with him. Anyone else done business with him?

If you are interested, his site is http://www.stevescutlery.com/. He said delivery runs between 6 and nine months.

Input, comments, advice, and experience welcome.

I checked his site out and all I saw were knives in sheathes. You might want to see one of his finished knives to see how you like his grinds.

If you click on those images, it takes you to another , larger view, and if you click the smaller images on those pages you can see several views of the knives. The bowies are ground rather low, but since I want this to be a failry heavy chopper, it seems to suit the purpose.

I'm one of the forum leaders in the HuntAmerica Knife Forum, where Steve has participated for some time. His input has always been good and the people who bought knives from him had positive things to say. Unfortunately, I do not yet own one so I can't give you any first-hand impressions.
