Anyone familiar with this embossing?

I picked it up because I don't believe I've ever seen it before.
Note: It was near Boone, NC and I don't believe I have ever seen so many "vintage" axes for sale as I'm seeing here. I have other questions about that...see my other question(s) titled "Boone, NC and un-embossed axes".

Ideal Ridge phantom bevel hatchet. As maker's mark states American Axe & Tool Co Glassport, Pa and than patent #
