Anyone familiar with this maker, "Ferenc Tumpek." He is touted as a "European Master knife maker."

A search here shows nothing, but a google search showed some impressive looking knives. Good materials, nice designs and lines, I'm interested to hear more as well.

I bought one of his folders when I was at Blade Show West. High polished stainless blade (I think it was 440...but that's the best I can do), stainless bolsters and a very dark wood for the handle slabs. It had some really nice file work on the frame. I thought what I paid for it was reasonable, $265, considering the work put into it. I gave it to a friend of mine as a wedding present.

I hate to be annoying, but there is no european master degree in knifemaking. It seems he's a Czech master knifemaker.
The knives look very nice. If he is as good as the Czech knifemaker I know, you can expect flawless workmanship, rivalling the best American makers. I guess Czech's are perfectionists :D

You could ask David1967, He's Czech.

I have one of his fixed blades, model C27 in ATS-34 and stag. The craftsmanship is everything Bart student said you could expect.
You can see his knives here: http://www.euroknife.net/
