Anyone find a comfortable carry for an Emerson Karambit?

I have an Emerson Combat Karambit which I really like as a secondary EDC. My problem with it is finding a comfortable place to keep it. My primary EDC is in my right front pocket. I've carried a knife there for so long that it's instinctual to reach for it whenever I need a knife. However the karambit in there is a bit wide and doing things like reaching in for my keys or whatever makes it a bit cumbersome to work around. Plus I kept it in threre once and I think with putting my keys in one time I partially opened it. I didn't realize it until I stuck my hand in my pocket and got poked in the finger with the tip.

Now that I'm getting some warmer days I've been using the cargo pocket on my shorts. However the other night after doing some walking and running around at times. I felt something poke me in the leg. I reached in my cargo pocket and pulled out the karambit and found it wide open in my pocket. I guess it getting jarred around in there finally worked the blade open. Needless to say I'm looking for a comfortable and fairly safe location to keep this thing on me.

Anyone have any suggestions?

back left pocket, clip positioned for lefty carry.

the spine will ride against the seam, so accidental opening is very unlikely.

I like to draw my kerambit in a reverse grip, so I carry it in my back pocket. Like MORIMOTOM said, the spine rides against the seem so there's no danger of accidental opening.

I did carry it in my front pocket a few times, but (with the clip set up for reverse grip) there's too much danger of the Wave catching on something else I carry in that pocket.

Well I would carry mine in my front right pocket. It's the most instinctual place for me to reach for it. Otherwise, it would ride in my back right pocket so I could reach for it as if reaching for a wallet and draw in to a cut.

Try some different set ups for you and see what works for you the best given your other belongings.

Id carry anything that i condsidered a defensive knife in my strong side front pocket, espeacially an emerson so that i could wave it, id just put my primary user in the opposite side front pocket and just deal with the extra time it takes to draw and open it.

I did this for a bit until I stabbed myself putting my keys in that pocket. I don't know if the wave caught the keyring a bit (I have a cumbersome set of keys). Or whatever but when I stuffed them to the bottom of my pocket the tip stuck me in a finger.

which way is the spine facing, center line or hip?

Why carry keys in your pocket? Uncomfortable. Why not carry them on a clip on your belt. I don't want anything in my right front pocket but my knife.

If it's for SD, find a way to carry your other things elsewhere and dedicate your RFP to the karambit where it's most accessible to your stronghand. If you're righthanded, that is.
