I just got mine yesterday. I ordered the UHC Carpenter (#2 on the list). A beautiful piece of work.

It's light as a feather and feels better in my hand than either of the custom knives I own. I haven't cut anything with it yet, but have shaved all of the hair off of my left arm. I suppose I'll break down in the next couple of days and do some serious work with it, I just want to keep it looking new for a little while longer.

The blade is 3 5/16" long and the overall length is 7 11/16". Blade thickness is 1/8".
The blade is blackened (not parkerized or Black Ti) and the handle is a beautiful Curley Birch. The sheath is stitched leather with a hard synthetic insert to accomodate the blade. Overall fit and finish are excellent.

This knife and I are going to be inseperable friends for a long, long time.

Blackdog, I am eagerly waiting for the #4; your receipt hopefully means my order is on the way. Should I be looking, Craig?

Hi, just got #5 puukko (the light colored birch handled UHC Hunter) today and it is a very nice knife. I certainly intend to put it to use when I get a chance to do so and expect this fall to try it on a moose to see if it lives up to the "one moose" guarantee.

The blade came sharp, but not hair popping sharp so will sharpen it up during the weekend and give it a workout to see how long it can go before being re-sharpened.

Thank you, Craig, for making these available for forumites.

Blackdog: Are you going to shave your other arm?
