Anyone getting the special limited edition Ti-Commander?

I had originally signed up for one until I found the cost to be $1269.95. It did not seem worth it to pay that much for a knife that only had a blade hand ground by Emerson even with the extra finishing on production commander parts.

His handmades do not even cost that much, even if this one is limited edition. Does anyone know why these knives will cost this much?

Anyone getting one? I'm curious to hear about what they are like.

One thing that is certain is that I'm not getting one. I really can't figure out why he is charging so much. Titanium is very difficult to work with but not that difficult. What bothers me further is that working on these knives will put him further behind on his regular custom orders.

You already know I'm passing on this one. I don't understand what the plan behind the high cost is. It looks like the MicroTech collector knives approach. Take a popular knife, give a couple of tweaks and charge a high price, with the hope that enough people will buy it. Someone will buy them, I am sure.
