So, Blade Show in Atlanta is coming up in less than 3 weeks! Not only will this be my first knife show EVER, but it will also be my debut as a knife maker! To say that I am extremely excited/nervous is an understatement!

I hope to meet a few great traditional knifemakers up there, like Tony Bose, John Lloyd, Dave Taber(Dr. T) and a few others, CE & CF some beautiful works of art, and maybe come home with some loot of my own! I will most likely be focusing on snagging up some nice materials and equipment, but I'd definitely love to come home with a new knife!

These last few weeks have been a grind ;) for me, preparing my knives for the show. I'll be working until the very minute I leave, but I hope to be bringing my best work BY FAR! I'll post some pics of what I am bringing, if I have any time...

Dr.T and I will be sharing a table, and Phil is making the trek up there with me! I would love to meet any of you out there, so swing by my table and say hi if you have the chance!

So, who is planning on making the trip??

Evan,

I will be there and make a point to come by and say hello. If I can help with anything let me know. Should be around from Wednesday evening on.

This is my first blade show EVER as well, as I've been a long time lurker in the community. What table are you at?
I'd like to stop by, say hello, talk knives, and check out your knives.

Good luck and high efficiency with your preparations, Evan! :p:p
I hope the show is a marvelous experience for you, personally and professionally!:thumbup:

Evan, I am going to try really hard to get there. Your name's been on my list of visits for a long time.

Yep...first timer, but I'll be there. My new-found knife hobby is 3 months old, so there will be lots to get a acquainted with at the show. (no dealers in my area)

Thank you for the well wishes Gary and Bob!

Mark, I hope to see you there!

Gus, I look forward to meeting you, and thank you very much for the help offer!

Blinkah, I will be at table 25Q. I'd love to chat knives with you, see you there!

Probably be there Sat & Sun if my work schedule allows. Not missed a BLADE show since it moved to Atlanta.

I wish I could. Finances won't allow it this year. I am hoping to make it next year. I plan to attend Kansas City in September and Little Rock in February.

I hope your debut show is a smashing success. Enjoy and I hope to see pictures.

Chris

Congrats on your first Blade show Evan! It blows my mind to think that you are completely self taught without the benefit of having a background in machining or anything of that sort. I bet there are guys out there who have 10 times the advantages that you've had, who can't produce 1/10th the quality of work. And to now be sharing a table with Dr. T at Blade, in the short amount of time you've been at it? That's talent my friend...

Here's to a fun and successful Blade show for you, the first of many to come I'm sure!

Thank you for the compliments, Al! It is greatly appreciated, my friend.

To be honest, I have no clue how I got here so fast. Kinda crazy if you think about it. I couldn't have predicted this with a crystal ball!

Evan, how many knives are you taking? How did you decide which knives? Give us some details man! I'm hoping to be there next year.

Bastid,
Please drop by & say hi I'm at the Due Buoi booth! You did me a big favor at one time, always wanted to thank you!
I will be the "OLD"guy!
Jim

Will try to make a point of dropping by to say hello Jim.

I'll be there helping out a buddy at his table - 11AA.
will try to wander by during one of my breaks.
best of luck selling out!

Hey Brian,

I am bringing as many knives as I can finish between being in full operation (about a month and a half ago) and next Thursday. I wish I had knives to choose from, but I am working my butt off trying to get the ones I have in process ready for the show.

Speaking of which, I owe you guys a progress pic! Here are 3 Lanny's clips and 2 Teardrop Jacks I am bringing. These (and one other) will be my only single bladed knives coming to the show. The other 7 or 8 will be multibladed, if I can finish them in time...
