Anyone Going To Buy A ZT0350?

I got a ZT 0350 a little over a week ago. I had a 0200 before and didn't care for the textured grip panels and the overkill on the build. I am sure there are folks that love and need that just not me. The knife was awesome. Just more folder than I could use. So this being a bit smaller a thinner works out just right for what I need. I can't find anything wrong with it and don't think I will.

Get one! You won't be sorry. It's a tank yet carries decently. Some negatives to me are no jimping on the lock bar, handle seems about a 1/2" too short and the lanyard hole is tiny. No biggies really. If you got bigger mitts the handle length may bother you but I don't so it's not a huge issue.

It makes me think "finally a ZT Blur" every time I use mine.

It's perfect.

Haven't handled one yet.

When I first heard about this, I thought it was going to be a true 3/4-scale 03XX; so I'm kind of disappointed that it's not a framelock, and has a plain-jane pivot.

Really though, when you compare it to the competition, it looks like a great knife - and a fantastic value. And as others have observed, very much begging for pimpery... like maybe the addition of a Ti framelock and an orange G10 top slab.

I love my ZT0301 and thought the 0350 would be a fantastic EDC folder. But like tsiloics, I was under the impression it was going to be a smaller-scale 03__. Bummer!

Stay sharp,

Bought one and love it! Great knife for the price. Gripes: Wish they had a coated blade without the tiny recurve, but it is still a great knife. Kershaw is becoming quite the knife company!

I have a 0200, and thought the 0350 would beat it, but I still like the 0200 a little better, the grip seems to fill my hand a little better (the 0350 carries way better).

i just bought one of these and im looking around for a belt sheath for it, any ideas on what/where to get one guys ?
love the knife btw !

I just bought one too. Great knife. My biggest complaint is no jimping on the lock ... I personally find it hard to close one-handed.

Exactly. Also, without the framelock it loses the titanium scale, which IMO is one of the 03XX's stronger points. I was so excited to get this knife until I learned about the standard pivot and loss of the titanium and no framelock.

It was these features that made the 03XX knives tanks, not the wide blade and wide handle. I now understand the 0350's attractive price.

I still want one:D.

You guys gotta understand that the choice of materials and design was to hit a ~$100 street price point.

It's a helluva knife for the money. And the liner lock might as well be a frame lock. To call it robust is an understatement.

Which seems kind of odd to me, because the ZT brand appears to be premised more on competing at a slightly higher price point. I realize it's the top of their line, but the 030X competes on value with Strider, not BM. I feel like ZT offers a really good value in that niche - they are extremely competitive. Everyone and his mother's brother produces a $100 knife - not as good a use of their efforts, IMO.

One thing I like about framelocks is that there's no gap between the liner and scale for crud to collect in. I don't doubt the integrity of the linerlock format, just really prefer the framelock. It's a lot cleaner design-wise.

I totally agree that the 0350 is a great value, was just hoping for something more in line with the 030X products.

I think they went after too many problems. The first objective was to make it smaller, which they did. Seems like the second would be to make it lighter, which they kind of dropped the ball on. Making it cheaper would have been a pretty distant third, on my list.

Not knocking the end result... it's just not the direction I would have gone.

I agree, i was really hoping for a Ti lock, and a pricepoint around $175.

that said, i'm sure i'll still pick one up over the summer.

I love mine and have used it real hard already, hacking at some big 1" and greater tree limbs, digging and cutting. Handled everything without a hard breath, I am very impressed. For $112 I gotta a hell of a knife that I can replace easily when and if it wears out. I highly recommend it.

I was in our local cutlery shop the other day and he had the new 350 and the 301/302 series side by side on the counter to play with. I like them both but can't afford the 301/302 at $300 so the 350 at $119 I can. They are both beauts and I think I would having played with them both opt for the new one it's a lot lighter and will carry better in my pocket. Maybe they will come out with it with a tiger stripe and not raise the price of it by too much. A winner thats for sure.
