I think Ray will be there this time, Saw Lynn at the Little Rock show in Feb and it seems as if he had some conflicting things for this weekend, Hope he gets things worked out, Like that kid and his knives. I'll be set up at 3 C 9 so come by and sit a spell.

I am not going to be able to make it this time. I am trying to get my 5 ready for Atlanta. I would like to come up Sunday and finally get to do some visiting. I can't remember ever going to the Tulsa Gun show and just visiting. This week-end it will be. If several are around, I'll probably be by Pete's table several time.

I will be there, most likely Saturday afternoon. I'll stop by Pete's and see if I can recognize anyone. I'll be carrying my BF Native in a neck sheath outside my shirt, so if anyone spots me, say Hey!

See ya'll there Saturday! Could someone post directions from I-44? Thanks.

Chief, I sent directions to you in email. For anybody else coming from out of town, here is an easy way. Coming into Tulsa on I-44, stay on 44 and exit at Yale. Turn north and go about 2.5 to 3 miles. This will take you to 21st and yale. You will see the big splash water park. Turn west on 21st, and go about a half mile. You will see a huge statue of an oil driller guy. Thats the place. I emailed about meeting chief by the driller at noon on saturday, if anybody can make it, it would be cool to meet some more forumites there.

Looking forward to seeing you there Yvsa. You think Lynn will bring some more knives for us to tear up??

Richard.

Yep, just found out that I'll be able to drive up on Saturday. Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet some of the guys who hang out here. I'll be the goofy looking guy who looks like a cross between Homer Simpson and Jabba the Hutt...

Update on Tulsa!!!

The place was a mad house on sat. I whas a good one all the way around for most of the makers I talked to except for the user grade hand mades. The increase of the number of people dealing in Tiajana Turds has realy clouded the issue on what a good knife should sell for. Just for the heck of it I got a $15 fixed blade from one of them and whacked it on the wood on the bottom of the table. The nice polished edge rolled over on it. I don't think the thing was evened hardened, It realy looked like a 300 series stainless that can't be hardened and sure responded like it. Too bad that a good show like that has to have so much trash in it.
There was only two of us makers that had any mosaic damascus there so both of us had a heck of a show. I'll be back in the fall but will most likely have only mosaics.

Sorry I missed almost everyone.
Like Old Pete says it was a god show, but with way to much in the way of POS for sale.
Even the old Cattaragus 225 Q I like was hardly too be seen.
On the gun side.... There were lots of older stuff, but some of that required an antiques dealers license or any license to buy and sell guns.

I certainly hope it doesn't ever get that way with knives!!
I passed up a 1943 WW II Khukuri that was pretty nice.
I hope a fellow knife knut here managed to get it!
