Anyone good at or know how to regrind a blade ?

I broke the tip off of my Griptillian 550 the other day and the serrations arent that good now either i broke close to 1/8 of the tip off , can the blade be salvaged or do i just need to send it to benchmade for repair ? and if i do end up sending it in can i get the 550 blade replaced with a doug ritter blade ? any info is appreciated in advance.
 
Fixing the stright edge is not a problem its the serrations that will be a issue depending on the damage. I don't think BM would give you a different blade either and the damage to your current blade would be considered abuse.
 
i got an email from them saying they will replace the blade i just wasnt sure if i had to get the exact same one i had on there or if i could pay the difference and get any of them ? i did abuse the blade yes as iut was a EDC blade for regular work and when i get it fixed it will be just as abused as thats what i need it for to "work " with
 
Try e-mailing them and asking if they'll swap the blades. I wouldn't be surprised if they said yes.
 
I talked to the lady in CS today and was told it could be switched with other blades but not ther Ritter it wasn't available any more so which one should i go with a 55 or 551 ? black or stainless ?
