I've been searching around on line and have found about 20 different recipes. The one that kind of sounds good is beeswax/tung oil/turps if only because I have some. I'd like to make some army field overmittens more water resistant. I doesn't seem to me that those three ingrediants would just "blend" without some heat. Also, does anyone know how to apply it without getting too much in the fabric? I'm guessing that with those three ingrediants it wouldn't hurt the leather palms to get some on them but I'd rather not guess wrong if I need to seal them first.
