Anyone got a pic of the BK8?

I was told in the beginning that the BK8 was hardly an exceptional design and that it quickly disappeared into obscurity, but surely there must have been a prototype or two... does ANYONE have a pic of the BK8 to satisfy my curiousity?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there was no BK8 available to the public. I heard somthing along the lines that if they (BK&T) told us what a BK8 was they would have to kill us.

What I had heard was that the BK8 was indeed never for sale to the public and that it was designed for the military, but it's unavailability was not due to to it's top-secret nature, but to the fact that it was a lackluster design.

I never heard of a mention of the BK8 here myself. I was kinda stymied by the jump between BK7 to BK9, but I never thought much of it.
You might have mixed up with the BK5, which is a good design, probably a very nice cutter/slicer, but somehow just didn't sell well and hence discontinued.

Hey Logan1, thanks for those pics! I've always wondered about this model after reading that it was military only.

Can you tell how you got it?

I found a guy on another forum that put it up for sale. I did not ask how he got it.

The pictures pretty much show how it compares to the Crewman and Campanion. The blade is the same thickness as the Crewman. The kydex sheath is the same as the Campanion sheath, but made with thinner stock kydex. The cordura/kydex lined sheath has a little diamond sharpener that goes in the front pouch. The blade is sterile.

Not to be a bother but I would love to see the pics referenced in the earlier post... :D it is now a dead link. If you are still around or if anyone saved the photos, that would be great!

TIA

(Was the BK8 sort of a primordial Extreme?)

EDIT - For some reason it works now! Could you please point out which photo has the BK8? :)
