Also help tide me over while mine arrives, the wait is killing me...
Be sure to add in some pictures

I don't have one of those. I am pretty set on the ESEE's I do have (6 and Junglas) as to me, they are perfection in what they are, and are "go to's" for me. But I have never seen a Rowen made knife, that was not flawless in every way. I think you will love the knife.

I just ordered mine today. I've been hunting for that perfect edc fixed blade for a long time, and hopefully I've found it in the JG3. I wanted a fixed blade small enough for IWB EDC, but larger than the Izula II (which I have been iwb/edc for about a year). Of course most use will be daily chores, with weekend backpacking trips sprinkled in. Of course, in the back of your mind, you want to be able to use a edc knife for self defense (not a mall ninja, just saying). What really shocked me at first was looking at the Sayoc Rat Knife by Guro Harley Elmore. Compare the Rat and the JG3 side by side. One is a dedicated "old school bushcraft" knife, and the other is one of the most expensive ($500) self defense/combat knives available. Pretty similar if you ask me...I just find that funny.

I love mine. I bought it for the blade shape and size but after handling and using it the handle shape is may be an even better feature. Strangely when I ordered it I was leery of the handle shape thinking it would be awkward.

Prior to the JG3 the ESEE 3 was my favorite but the JG3 seems like a sports car in comparison.

I do wish the JG3 came with a sheath comparable to the Izula but then I know many prefer a traditional leather sheath.

Good to hear that about the handle shape, I have the same feeling about it, so hopefully I'll agree with you.
Agree with you about the sheath as well, I ordered an Azwelke pancake kydex sheath five minutes after ordering the knife. Can't stand traditional leather sheaths, but I do live in an urban environment, and wear fixed blades IWB with a clip. If I lived in a rural setting I would probably feel different.

Got the JG3 yesterday, love it. It might be the perfect edc blade. Just need the Azwelke kydex pancake sheath now. I've had substantial rust problems with my Izula II, so I immediately put a patina and then Froglube on the JG3 yesterday. Need to figure out how to put pictures up here. What is the easiest way to get a URL for an image??

Bravo_06 glad you like it!

I agree on the "perfect edc blade" just a really useful design and size.

I know it is ESEE's new design but seems to be a sleeper in that you don't hear much about them.

Interested in seeing and hearing about your new sheath.

A couple pictures of my JG3. One is a before, the rest are after I did a mustard/vinegar patina. And a wet mold/Saddle Soap treatment to the leather sheath.
