My bloody iPAQ just died without warning. Won't turn on, won't charge, won't connect to the PC.

Anyone had this happen? Is it just he battery or is it something more serious?

Any/all thoughts/suggestions appreciated.

Perform a soft reset with your stylus (like when you first got your iPAQ) and then put it into your cradle immediately.

Tried all those, soft, hard resets, leaving it on charge, off charge, banging it against the table after I got really annoyed, all the usual things.

I guess I'm going to have to drive into the city and try and find a spare battery or somebody who knows something about them! :(

POS electronic crap! Should stick with pencil and paper.

That's too bad man. What model do you have BTW?

Hmm.. it's sitting the car at the moment and I'm not sure of the exact number but it's an RX3000 series. RX3724 has a familiar ring to it.

Somebody told me today there there is some complicated series of buttons you can push that sometimes fixes these things. I'll call HP on Monday and see what they say.

Well since you're waiting till Monday;
Remove the battery for a few hours (c:a 6h) and then re-insert and charge. After a few hours of charging (c:a 6h), perform a soft reset, whilst still connected and charging.

Yeah, I'll give that a go.

It's pitiful when you're so old and buggered that you need an electronic device to tell you when it's lunchtime! :)
