Anyone gotten an Opinel engraved

Hi Folks,

Like many of us I have a few Opinels. Thinking about getting a number 7 with engraved handle and blade .

Has anyone done that? Comments appreciated.

Both my brother and I have gotten engraved handles, they turned out nicely! Think it was ~$8 additionally, well worth it for the personal touch

These are older pictures of mine from a older thread, when I get a chance I'll take current pictures, this first pic is it with a natural patina and the engraving is hard to see,

but if you buff it a bit with a rag or shirt, the contrast makes it look better. Not sure if it would be harder to see on their 12c27, but on the carbon you can give it a little contrast.



Also mine was done I think 8 years ago so they may have a different processes or newer equipment now

I had an Opinel handle custom engraved to give as a gift. It turned out very nice. The engraving went deep, so it's definitely permanent. Did not make the handle uncomfortable to use. Did not have the blade engraved, so can't comment on that.
