So, what do you think of the new Microtech MTX2 knife? Anyone have one they can tell us about?

I just found it on E-Bay & it definately caught my eye. I love my LCC's & I figure that this has to be another step up....though pricey  I never really liked the new Turzuola knife they brought out....didn't really fit my hand like the LCC did....

Should I get one now or should I wait to see if the prices will drop some?
They are asking around $390 in that range, give or take, which to me is high.

I know of the other knives I can get for that price & I already have 4 Sebenza's....so I don't need any more of those.......

What do you think? Here is the item # on E_Bay for a look see:

Item number: 2240621776
(sorry, don't know how 2 post the link  )

I would seriously consider putting it on my short list, but I've heard a lot of bad things about microtech customer service lately.
Also, why the heck don't they put anything on their website about their new knife. It seems like a poor marketing strategy to me.

I hear ya brother.......I actually have 2 of my LCC's in for service.

1st one is a 20CV 1/2 serrated D/A model. It pretty much fell apart in 1 year.
Way to much blade play & the lock wasn't engaging well. Funny concidering that I take excellent care of my knives.

The 2nd one is my LCC Damascus blade. They have had both of my knives now for over a month & I am told that only 1 person can sharpen the Damascus blade & I would have to wait for him to do it. Plus the pivot on there never seemed right when I purchased it. So that's what it is on for, that & the fact that it never really had any bevel to the blade....seeing if they can touch that up.

Overall, I will have to wait about 2 months to get them back.

Melody is the woman I spoke with several times in the Warranty & Repair shop. She seems pleasant enough, but still, that is a looooooooooong wait to get some knives back.

What are you going to do  I like the knives, but they are over priced IMO, & their service is slow.....but if you like the knife......then you have to worry if it is going to hold up or not
Another thing........ever notice that each of the D/A models all open differently? Some open lightning quick....some kinda slow....even after you try to adjust the pivot & re-lube them....Not good quality conttrol if you ask me.
Still, I am a sucker who likes their knives.....just wish things were better with them.
