Does anyone has experience of using this stone? How does it perform? Thanks for any insights.

I use one as my "carry sharpener".

The set-up ain't bad for "on the go" needs. I've used it with my Falkniven U2, M2 Mini-Ritter Grip, a large S30V Ritter Grip, and a few others.

One difference these sharpeners have is that the ceramic has grooves in it. At first I was worried about that surface texture, but I still get a shaving sharp-plus edge, so I guess it is okay.

Don't pay more than two sawbucks for one is the only caution I have, as I paid less than that and have noticed some sellers really over-pricing the product.

I've been wanting to buy one myself but it seems , everytime I check, that the online dealers are always out of stock.

It's a bit on the small side, but handy for carrying. Like Orthogonal1, my ceramic side had grooves - machining marks. I flattened it on a dmt bench stone, and it smoothed out nicely. But they still should do this at the factory, IMO.

I debated smoothing out the ceramic, but decided to give the "grooves" a try.

Seems to work OK. Maybe doesn't load up as fast?
