Yeah, I've got one of the Jimmy Lile made Rambo II models. The quality is excellent. Here's a pic.

Guys,

One thing to remember is that the knife Stallone used in the Movie Rambo II, was black on the flat, with mirror edge.

In addition to the actual movie knives. Jimmy made 100 (serial numbered) knives with black on the flat of the blade and mirror edges.

I have only seen two of these for sale in the last 10 years. I sold the first one, the second one is in my safe.

This is probably my favorite movie knife!

Les,

I didn't recall the versions you mentioned, but it has been a while. What are the ones such as I pictured above? It is marked Rambo II the Mission on the other side of the blade and does not have the additional marking to show that it was not made by Jimmy, himself.

The quality of the Lile knives is real good. It's another of them knives I will eventually get around to owning.
If you're a Lile fan keep in mind that they have a lay away plan.
Knife prices are lot easier to take when you pay a little at a time.

Hi, I had a mint Rambo "First Blood" made by Lile before he passed away. I bought it sight unseen by mail. I was very disapointed, wasn't finished off very well and to me seemed fragile. However, I really never liked sawteeth on a knife very well anyway, seems they hang up on everything, even the sheath. I couldn't wait to get rid of it, even took a small loss. I am not bashing Mr.Lile, I have owned other knives he made and loved them. I even meet him once at a show, a great gentleman. I think the Rambo knives were made for great visual effect, not use. If you want a great hollow handle knife to use--get a Reeve, you won't be sorry.

HD,

After they did the first 100 that were serial numbered. I believe they produced another hundred in the configuration that you have. But with no serial number.

I think the one that Bubba showed was from Rambo First Blood.

Just clipped this from Liles site, this shows the Rambo 1 and 2 side by side.

Here is a picture of the Lile knife in Rambo 2, as you can see the blade is black with a mirror edge.

I want to order a knife but have no info....
does anyone know where to buy a brand new lile rambo knife?

Lile knives often have a booth at shows here in the Kansas City area, and they always have a Rambo knife on display when they are here, not sure which one though. Sorry, but I don't have any conact info :(
