Anyone have a Battle Horse Knives Fieldcrafter?

I appreciate the feedback, but doesn't a knife constitute gear? I'm sorry, but I don't think I found the section that is dedicated to bushcraft knives. Please enlighten me.

Anyone have feedback on the Woodsman Pro? The special I'm looking at has the single twist removable scales. While removable scales aren't ideal for me, they might work.

I have one en route to me now. I'll post something as soon as I get some "hands on" time with it. I also have a couple of Essiacs, a Renegade and had a bushcrafter (but the handle didn't work for me). All of my BH knives cut like lasers after reprofiling them to 17 degrees.

I gave a couple of Blind and Battle horse knives
this is a short and fat knife
their scandis are easier to use thinner at 1/8th
the sabers are great at 5/16th

OK, I have received my Woodsman Pro today and it is a really super general purpose blade design. My only criticism is that the handle is a little small for me (I have huge hands), but for someone with average to large hands, it would be a close to a perfect all around bushcraft/hunting knife/camping as I can imagine. I'm gonna stay with my Essiac's and Renegades because of the larger handles on them (and the Essiac is an almost identical blade design with a fuller handle).

'Dont know if any of this helps, but I hope it was of some benefit.

I have a Fieldcrafter, daily wear when I'm at home. A bit smaller than the L. T. Wright GNS, but very similar in design. Just about perfect for my needs and a definite favorite.

I know a thing or two about it. How can I help out? Used mine the day it was released at the Battle of the Blades in OH. Carved figure 4's all day before handing off my personal blade to a gentleman named Cordell who carved a trap trigger out of match sticks with some guidance. He worked so hard he deserved winning it! It is a great knife and my choice for a true Scandinavian grind blade for an affordable, not hyped up, cost.

Some photos from the challenge. My initial Figure 4 matchstick inspiration and then the guys working hard at making triggers smaller and smaller. The BHK Fieldcrafter is a great knife and the guys who tried it liked it. Only one went home with one in 1st place though!

Of course, if anyone wants to try one out, all you have to do is make it on one of my free weekend survival trips I run for FREE all around New England. Next one is Dec. 20. Just sayin.

Say Heah Boys and Girls, Dealing with Battle Horse is a Pleasure. I got a e-mail when the Attitude first came out. I liked it especially because I really never liked the broomstick round handles, I know, All my friends that have them rave about the comfort, But I just don't like that look, I much rather have a palm swell. Infact I had the handles on my Blind Horse Bushcrafter thinned down and polished, Now I see alot of Knives being done like that. I wear a large glove and my B H Bushcrafter fits my hand like a glove, and I think it looks like a much more expensive Kephart IMO. Anyhow I liked the handle on the Attitude, I also liked the size of the blade and it's shape. So I called Battle Horse. Then the what it's started. To my pleasant surprise, everything I what it'd about the young lady said, We could do that. So I said, You can ?, Yup was the reply. So I ordered a Attitude at that intro price, First of all I wanted it Slightly Curved, then I also wanted the Drop Point Lowered and a High Scandi, Then my last request, I wanted a White Handle with Blue Liners because I didn't have a white Handle Knife, But I also wanted one to match my H. I. M-43 KHUKURI which it does even though it has a White Bone Handle and not as white as the white G-10 I got but it's still a awesome pair. The knife came out looking like these new Bushcraft Knives with the curved down drop points on those high end knives and the Quality/Price Ratio is Outstanding a beautiful job that when I had it in my hands in a very short time, I didn't wish I wanted to change anything about it. It came out spot on. Everything I asked for tgey did it just right. I never knew they could do that. The other pleasant surprise was when I found out that Peter's Tempered the knife. Peter's is not a fly by night dip your hot blade in a bucket of peanut oil. But they do blades for alot of high end knife companies. and I know they did a great job because my O1 blade really holds a great edge, I got O1 because I plan using it in some areas that if I needed to sharpen it in the bush especially in a survival situation, I was able to. Anyhow, I am very pleased with what I ordered, If anyone would care to see it, search Google Plus for Paulie 4X to get best view on the Drop Point Lowered line up all the three pins. Yeah, I recommend Battle Horse to everyone.
