Two questions: 1. If you have one, what do you think of it? 2. Does anyone offer it at less than the $300 price?

Pretty interesting looking Busse-style knife.

This is the Vox designed knife. I am thinking it has not yet been released in the US. I think the price will more likely be around the.$200 to $220 range, maybe even less. I like its looks!

We will be getting the first shipment of them this week. They should be hitting retailers by the end of the week, beginning of next week. I can't wait to see them.

We received these on Friday. They were delayed by the Iceland volcano. They should be hitting the supply chain in the next couple days. These are awesome, tough blades. You will not be disappointed.

I had opportunity to handle one today and immediately reserved one from the next shipment. I've been looking for something like this for a long time.

A happy ending to my original post came about last summer. Tired of my local shop, where I had bought the Haddock with moola from my son on Father's Day, for being a tad slow, I canned their order and went with an evil-bayer who had it for little over half the MSRP. Below you'll see it with the Haddock for scale:

The Pry-Mate came pretty sharp - some stropping helped - and is a great slicer - even with over ripe grape tomatoes, although the paper thin slices you can make curl a lot - that thick spine has a definite hollow grind. Great knife, so-so Kydex sheath.

PS That local shop had the mini's in first - then the Pry-Mate - but not until early fall.

They are beauties! I'm still waiting on mine.... Hoes does the Pry-Mate feel tucked in say, jeans or in a jacket's pocket with its Kydex sheeth? I imagine this is the only way to EDC this bugger?

Thanks for sharing.

I have both pry-mate and pry mini. I would say, both are fascinating knives. Perfect in making and finish. also the sheath. They cut really good because of the deep hollow grind.
My critics: The Pry Mate bit too heavy for edc, if You're a normal sized person :). Too thick at the spine. 3/16" would have been ok. Thumb notches on the spine are too rough. I smoothened them with a dremel and 600 grit paper.
For edc I'd recommend the pry-mini.
