Anyone have a DeSantis Bodyguard Rig?

I have owned several rigs in leather from DeSantis, and can't say a single bad thing about them.

I will, however, try to talk you out of going with a shoulder holster. Most of us who have carried for a long time (30+ years myself) wouldn't be caught dead with one. They're bulky, uncomfortable, and slow to draw from. They look "cool" on TV and in the movies, but are a long way from the most practical method to wear a gun.

I would strongly suggest you look at a small-of-the-back, inside-the-waistband, or paddle-type holster. In the long run, you'll be much happier.
 
I've CCW carried for 12 years now

I have lots of holsters including IWB and paddle holsters. But, I ride a motorcycle and pants holsters are uncomfortable for me when I'm on the bike. So now I am looking for a shoulder holster. I am at the point now where I am carrying my handgun in my backpack and I want to change that as soon as possible. And I agree with you that usually a shoulder holster is not the best choice. It's just the best choice for me right now. :)
 
Yeah, I think I'd change that situation pretty quick too. It's a little hard to tell a BG "hang on while I root throgh my backpack for my gun." Hope whatever you wind up with works out well for you.

Thanks! Yeah, when I get where I'm going I put on my gun with my IWB. I really don't like making the transition though.
