Does this classic even need a review? Just joking. I recommend shopping around for the San Mai III version; thick spine, full tang, superb two tones satin finish, perfect hollow grind and come razor sharp out of box. The quintessential modern tanto.

Kraton handle sucks for chopping (blister party) but otherwise I liked mine. Sold due to handle though. Nowadays I would just replace the handle like I did for a friend (posted it a while ago will see if I can find the post)

I will be wrapping my handle in soft, black leather and putting a silk tsukamaki on it.

That's odd, I actually prefer the Kraton handle for chopping. Although, I would not pick a Recon Tanto for a chopping knife.

I just add Wilson Ultra Wrap to the handle. So it fits my hands and doesn't dig my fingers.
