Anyone have a Seal Pup Elite yet?

Hey, I just saw this new model along with several others on the SOG site, I may have to become a dedicated SOG fan for a while, love the new designs and reasonable prices. Does anyone have one of the SEAL Pup Elite's yet who would be willing to post info/a mini review. Also, does SOG plan to do a full size version of this knife based on the Seal Knife 2k? Some websites I came across said they did, but I couldn't find it on their own site yet. Thanks in advance.

We have just started shipping the SEAL Pup Elite. I would suspect that someone will have a review in the next week or two. I am actually curious to hear what is thought of the SEAL Pup Elite. I have been think about whether or not I want one for myself. It is definitely a really cool knife.

As for making a larger version based on the SEAL 2K. We have not even discussed that yet. I do not know where anyone would have gotten that information. That may be a good idea though. I will pass it along and we shall see what happens.

Chris@SOG, thanks for the quick reply. I like the added utility of having a saw/rasp on the back of the knife, but really like the blade size of the seal 2k which is why I thought a larger version of the Pup Elite would be really cool. When will you start shipping the daggerts and the new version of the SOG tech bowie, those are also on my must have list for the near future.

We are expecting to begin shipping the Daggerts and Gov-Tac in the next 3-5 weeks. That is if everything goes as it is planned right now. Who know what could happen, but things do look good for delivery in the next 3 weeks. I'll try and post once they begin shipping.

hi all. i got my seal pup elite combo this week. all in all, it is a great knife. perfect size for being my general backpacking knife- light, solid blade with good thickness, nice edge, just the right size.

i haven't used it much as of yet, so this is a pretty minimal review, but i like it so far. i can say more once i have put it to work (which should be this weekend).

one thing though, the sheath sucks.... real bad. not sure if i got a bad one or what, but i hate the sheath. it has two critical problems:
1) the whole knife rattles around in the thing because the strap is incredibly loose.
2) the belt connection uses some ridiculous plastic contraption that can't really be moved, so it is the only way to secure it to your body.

so in summary- the knife is awesome. the sheath sucks (see my other thread if you can recommend aftermarket sheaths to replace this stock one).
