Anyone have a Steel Tiger review?

Karambits are a somewhat specialized design...do you have training in a martial art that instructs in the use of the karambit?

The Steel Tiger is sort-of abnormally large for a karambit. Came razor sharp out-of box. The tip appear delicate but during one of my fooling around session, it slip my grip and flew, tip-first into the composite wall of my room, no damage to the blade upon inspection but that's the last time I fool around with a karambit. Imagine if someone else happens to be in the vicinity... Unless you are trained to use one, I would suggest a conventional fixed blade/folder as a self-defense tool. CS Kobun or the Spikes series are great featherweight fixed blade.

I echo the "if you aren't trained in the karambit, don't pick one to use in defence" voices. Obviously it's cool to have one, but people who aren't skilled seem to lose a lot of blood when they foolishly try spinning them on a forefinger. An XL Voyager clip point will probably be a more useful knife, while still doing the defence thing more than adequately. Of course you could probably carry the Marauder inverted under your arm with a figure 8 of paracord. 9 inches of AUS8? That's a knife.
